The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) recently announced that Newport and Gwent Chamber of Commerce will take over as the accredited member for Cardiff and the surrounding area. The extended Chamber has now been renamed to the South Wales Chamber of Commerce.
A South Wales organisation has been long discussed in chamber circles, with the demise of the Cardiff Chamber seen as an opportunity to create a super chamber encompassing Newport and Gwent, Cardiff and the Valleys, as well as Swansea and West Wales.
The South Wales Chamber has been set up to support and represent hundreds of local companies. Their principal aim is to help to make businesses successful, regardless of size, age or sector.
“I’m humbled to have been asked to join the Council and excited at the opportunity to work with the South Wales Chamber of Commerce to help them grow both the chamber and the local business community. As I run a local business within South Wales, it is something that I feel very passionate about and I’m looking forward to giving my professional input to the chamber.” Adam Price MD at IT3.com
